Meet the team

We’re working moms, business partners and friends with kids at different ages and stages.

Erica is a mom of two tweens and founding partner of a strategic PR firm, 212 Communications. After spending more than a decade working with national and global PR agencies, she started her own. Erica’s goal was two-fold: take her big agency know-how to clients who are driving change in her own backyard, and have the flexibility to prioritize her family. She realized she could achieve success at both and co-created Working Mom Hour to support other women in their journeys.

Madeline, aka Mads, has three spirited toddlers, recently expanding her family through adoption. When Mads stepped away from the traditional corporate environment, she embraced how possible it was to have a fulfilling career while raising a family. She co-created Working Mom Hour to encourage others to tap into their joy and embrace the “mess” that comes with being a working mom.

Marla is the proud mom of a beautiful espresso maker. She is a creative force behind Working Mom Hour, playing an integral role in bringing this brand to life. Beyond her talents, Marla is the biggest champion of her working mom partners and clients.

Testimonials

Relatable In An Honest And Authentic Way

I am a new mom navigating staying home versus returning to work after baby. Mads and Erica do an incredible job of making you feel understood and appreciated in this world of weird societal expectations. Their conversations are so candid, you feel like you’ve gained two new friends and are right there in the room with them! Highly recommend this podcast for new and experienced moms alike!

SO relatable

All of the hosts and creators of this show, as well as their guests, are so incredibly relatable – no matter where you are on your journey as a working mom. Every episode gives me the “ah ha!” Moments I am looking for, and keeps me coming back each week for more. I can’t recommend it enough!

Felt seen, connected and inspired

I recently went on my first business trip since the pandemic began and since I became a mom to my 11 month old daughter. I intended to just check out an episode or two but ended up listening for most of my five hours of travel time that day. I felt seen and connected to a broader community of moms and particularly love the hosts’ willingness to be vulnerable about topics that we need to have more open and honest conversations about. Can’t wait to hear more!
